About Euthanasia 101
Last reviewed: March 2026
Our Mission
Euthanasia 101 gives clear, balanced, well-researched information about euthanasia, assisted dying and end-of-life choices. It is for patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, students and researchers, without judgment.
End-of-life decisions are deeply personal. Our goal is that anyone, for personal, academic or professional reasons, can find accurate, current and fair information in one place.
Editorial Standards
Every page follows these standards:
Evidence-based research
We research content using peer-reviewed journals, government reports and established medical and legal organisations. Sources include The Lancet, JAMA, BMJ, national statistics offices and government legislation.
Multiple perspectives
We present pro, con and neutral views on contested topics. We do not take a side on whether euthanasia or assisted dying should be legal or ethical.
Fact vs. opinion
We keep medical and legal facts separate from opinion or analysis. When we summarise expert opinion, we name the source.
Regular review and updates
We review and update content regularly for changes in law, practice and research. Last review: March 2026.
What We Are Not
- This site is not medical advice. Nothing here is a recommendation for or against any medical treatment. Always ask a qualified healthcare professional about your own care.
- This site is not legal advice. Laws vary a lot by jurisdiction. Ask a qualified lawyer about your situation.
- We do not advocate for or against euthanasia. We give information so that individuals, families and professionals can make informed decisions.
